It's RACE WEEKEND!

Ha! Nope, not a running race. THE race. The annual "Amazing Race Scavenger Hunt" that we do with 30 of our closest friends :)

Not much time to write, so let me say it quick

My friend and I are "Mary Kate and Ashley"-complete with liplined huge lips, funky clothes, almost identical outfits

Brian and his buddy Steve have been working furiously the last few days planning the whole thing. Yesterday they went to lunch to scope out a location. The place they ate ended up having a very cooperative manager who offered prized and even wanted to join in on the fun.

Brian's quote to me was "remember last year there were people who were unhappy with us?" (because of the stuff we had to do). "Well, this year, we're pretty sure they'll want to kill us!"

uh-oh

I ate gefeltefish last year and for bonus points could have put down a sardine with hot sauce. Our whole team had to score in frisbee golf. We had to sing "take me out to the ballgame" as loud as we could in the middle of the mall. We had to knock on someone's door with an inflatable halloween decoration and get them to agree to be on video camera in front of the decoration. In the past we've had to guess the ingredients in starbucks drinks that were set out for us. We had to read a children's book out loud to our group seated in a circle at Borders. We had to shoot baskets at Dicks Sporting Goods BB display until the whole team scored. yada yada yada

All of this is in full costume by the way.

It's all goin down tomorrow night. Will post later. Headed to our big Pumpkin Chase at church tonight with the kids to help run some booths...
